Mercedes Ruehl is the Financial Times' Switzerland and Austria correspondent, covering politics, economy, local companies, finance and markets. She was previously Singapore and Southeast Asia correspondent and prior to that Asia technology correspondent based in Singapore and Hong Kong. Prior to that she spent six years reporting in Australia on business, finance and politics for The Australian Financial Review and The Sydney Morning Herald.
